Director of Financial Aid
Hussain Ahmad is the Director of Financial Aid at ICC and he oversees all Federal, State and institutional grants, scholarships and loan administration for students and their familes. Hussain joined ICC with 20+ years of experience in higher education administration. He was responsible for College Admissions and Financial Aid consulting services for undergraduate and graduate students and their families. Prior to joining ICC, he served in several reputed universities and colleges as Director of Financial Aid and Assistant Dean of Enrollment Services. He also teaches as an Adjunct professor of International business and management at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York since 2002. During his short stay in Bangladesh from 1996 to 1999, he served as the Special Assistant to the President of North South University, the first private university in Bangladesh. In his spare time, he provides voluntary community service as the President of the Long Island Muslim Society, Inc. in East Meadow, New York. Hussain was honored with a medal and citation as a Bangladeshi American for his vital and vibrant contributions in the County of Nassau in Long Island, New York by the Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and the Nassau County Legislature in June 2019 and by the former Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano in August, 2013. Professor Ahmad holds an MBA & MS in Management from Hofstra University. Hussain is married, has two sons and currently resides in West Babylon, New York, USA. He is a passionate about cooking ‘Biryani’ and entertain his friends and family. He enjoys exploring NYC with his wife Nadira.
