Must be enrolled in one of the following 2019 programs:

  • 1/09/2019 Intensive Sommelier Training (Mon-Fri, Day)
  • 1/14/19 Professional Culinary Arts (Mon-Fri, Day)
  • 1/16/19 Professional Culinary Arts (MWF, Eve)

Application Deadline:

  • December 5, 2018 (Intensive Sommelier Training program)
  • December 14, 2018 (Professional Culinary Arts programs)

Award Date:

  • December 19, 2018 (Intensive Sommelier Training program)
  • December 20, 2018 (Professional Culinary Arts programs)

Financial need is a criterion for this scholarship – n/a for Sommelier applicants. Applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for academic year 2018/2019. Once selected, chosen recipient must join La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs as a young member ($50) to receive the scholarship funds.

Application Criteria:

Must be an applicant of one of the following 2019 programs:

Must be a California State resident.

Culinary applicants must be 27 years of age or under upon program start date.

Wine applicants must be 31 or under upon program start date.

Demonstrate financial need through submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – n/a for Sommelier applicants.

Must complete the scholarship application and submit a video or essay describing your career goals and how completion of the chosen program will help you achieve this goal.

Once selected, chosen recipient must join La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs as a young member ($50) to receive the scholarship funds.

All required documentation must be submitted prior to starting a program in order to be considered.

*No student may receive a combination of institutional or external scholarships that exceeds their out-of-pocket tuition cost.

  • Choose 1 of the 2 options:
    • Submit a video expressing your career goals and how completion of the chosen program will help you achieve this goal.
    • Write an essay describing your career goals and how completion of the chosen program will help you achieve this goal. (500 words)
