Ready to attend culinary school but need a little time to hone your English language skills? Through a unique partnership with Kaplan International SoHo, located just a short walk down Broadway from ICC, students can attend the International Culinary Center after receiving a high-quality English language education.

How Does it Work?

Students must complete the Kaplan Higher Intermediate level to demonstrate English language proficiency in lieu of a TOEFL exam. Once you’ve successfully finished the required language level with Kaplan, you can begin the registration process for ICC’s programs.

Kaplan International will help you determine what your English level is before you leave your home country and will tell you how many course weeks you need to take to meet International Culinary Center’s minimum level requirement.

What is the Higher Intermediate level?

The Higher Intermediate level means that you are competent with grammar and can understand and contribute to most conversations on familiar topics, but may make some mistakes.
