Take the stress out of Thanksgiving with help from guest Chef-Instructor Dave Martin, a veteran of Top Chef Season 1. Chef Dave brings a modern spin on classic cuisine to this quintessential American holiday. His recipes and kitchen tips will have your family and friends begging for leftovers and wondering how you made it all look so effortless.
You'll start the evening by making Dave's tangy pineapple, mango, and walnut oil vinaigrette, the perfect complement to a seasonal salad of mixed field greens, dried cherries, cinnamon pecans, and bleu cheese. Then, step up your everyday sides with a blend of mashed carrots and Yukon Gold potatoes topped with savory mushroom gravy, oven-roasted Brussels sprouts, and homemade cornbread stuffing with chicken sausage, pistachios, and roasted mushrooms. Next, lean in and take notes as Dave shares his secrets and signature tips for roasting a moist, flavorful holiday bird glazed with maple and orange. Finally, complete your menu with Dave's creamy pumpkin panna cotta and ginger cookies for dessert. After sitting down to enjoy the meal with your classmates, you’ll leave with the confidence you need for the big day and recipes you can use all year round. When dinner is over, your guests won't know how to thank you.

Since competing in the inaugural season of Bravo's Top Chef, Chef Dave has continued to share his distinct style of American cuisine—a reinvention of classic dishes with a modern, and often healthier, edge—with the public. He regularly teaches, cooks, consults, and makes special appearances around the country. His first book, Flavor Quest, was published in October 2009.
