Melanie Franks
Chef-Instructor“All the happiness in the world is created by wishing others to be happy,” is Chef Melanie’s philosophy in life and the kitchen. A certified tea specialist, she was also honored as a “Top Ten” culinary student by J.A. Henckels and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She worked at Degustation in NYC, and at minibar and Hook in Washington, DC, where she also served as a tea sommelier. Chef Melanie enjoys teaching for the contact it brings with students at the beginning of their culinary experience and believes determination, patience, a good work ethic, and respect towards others, are the keys to success in the culinary field. Chef Melanie joined The International Culinary Center in 2009.
