Fred Dexheimer, MS

Adjunct Wine Faculty

Master Sommelier Fred Dexheimer is the founder of Juiceman Consulting, a wine and beverage consulting company specializing in wine and cocktail entertainment, beverage list creation, and marketing, whose diverse list of clients includes Wines of Chile, Wines of Southwest France, Chef Laurent Tourondel, Max Brenner Chocolate, Grand Hyatt NYC, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment.

Fred's background in the hospitality industry began in his mom’s video game arcade and pizza shop in central Pennsylvania. After a brief attempt at college and seasonal stints in Nantucket and Jackson Hole, he was offered the job of a lifetime: working in the wine cellar of the famed Restaurant Daniel in New York. Having lived and worked in the city since 2000, Fred’s resume speaks for itself. His experiences in top restaurants, such as Gramercy Tavern and Jean Georges, and as national wine and beverage director for the BLT Restaurant Group, have given Fred a very well-rounded understanding of the wine and beverage industry.

Fred has been featured in many leading publications, including Wine & Spirits, Wine Spectator, Food Arts, Sommelier Journal, Wine Enthusiast, Time, and Newsweek. His signature cocktail creations have been seen in the New York Times, Food & Wine, Cosmopolitan, People, Bon Appétit, and Bill Hamilton’s Shaken and Stirred. He has also appeared on Martha Stewart Radio and MSNBC. He has been awarded many accolades for his service in the field and was selected to represent the United States in the Best Sommelier of the World Competition in 2007.
