Building upon the world-renowned curriculum of the French Culinary Institute, our new center for culinary arts has branched out- literally- to offer four floors of culinary innovation.

L'Ecole Restarant at the FCI Culinary ProgramThe first floor of our academy of culinary arts features our award-winning Zagat- and Michelin-rated restaurant, L'Ecole. Not only will you find some of the best cuisine in all of NYC at this restaurant, but L'Ecole is also where students enrolled in our Classic Culinary Arts cooking course also spend the last third of their training- gaining incomparable real-life, career experience. This unique opportunity for hands-on training in an exclusive restaurant environment is just one of the many benefits that distinguish our culinary academy from other traditional culinary arts colleges.

Also located on the first floor are the culinary kitchens for the French Culinary Institute, boasting elite equipment from Jade ranges to Vulcan Swiss kettles. And unlike other culinary arts colleges, at the International Culinary Center, your station is your own. Our culinary academy provides each student with their own complete set of world-class cooking equipment, ensuring that you're able to make the most of every second of precious class-time. There aren't many other culinary arts colleges that can compete with that!

Visit the second floor of our culinary arts academy, and you'll find the kitchens for our baking and pastry schools. Facilities for our baking school use the professional-grade tools that any world-class restaurant would find hard to beat, not to mention other culinary arts colleges-,as Hobart mixers. Winkler Wachtel deck ovens, and more. And through our proprietary Total ImmersionSM methods, our baking program teaches both professional chef and recreational students all the key elements of bread and pastry baking, from Fondant and Royal Icing to Artisanal Bread Baking.

Dessert at FCI Baking & Pastry SchoolsAlso located on the second floor of our culinary academy is the International Culinary Theater, where celebrated chefs, academy graduates, and faculty from this and other culinary arts colleges convene each week for lectures and discussion. Our excellent continuing education classes for restaurant management, wine studies, and food writing are held on this level as well.

The third floor of our academy of culinary arts is where our student services, chef quarters, library, and computer lab are located. Easily on par with any leading culinary arts college, our library is a culinary gold mine of thousands of books, DVDs, and CD-ROMs.

The fourth floor of our culinary academy is host to a variety of important cooking courses as well, including our new Italian Studies department. Designed and overseen by Master Chef Cesare Casella, the innovative culinary classes and educational techniques featured in our Italian Studies program go above and beyond what you'd find in other culinary arts colleges.

Also located on the fourth floor of our academy of culinary arts are additional pastry kitchens from our baking and pastry schools, as well as our admissions and welcome center.
