Get an early start on your culinary career! If your childhood dream is to work in a professional kitchen, or you just want to develop a culinary talent as a teenager, your time has come. The International Culinary Center offers an intense and inspiring summer cooking camp exclusively for students 13 to 18 years old. Build the skills a budding chef needs to conquer the kitchen from an early age.
In 2015, Cooking Camp for Teens will be offered as a total of five weekday sessions – one for Culinary, one for Pastry – learning the art of cooking from one of ICC’s experienced chef-instructors. Classes take place from Monday-Friday.
From creating handmade gnocchi to paper-thin crepes and profiteroles, our programs introduce students to the culinary world, giving them the opportunity to develop basic skills that will build the foundation to cook for a lifetime.
On the first day of each class, students will be in the kitchen learning and cooking. Beginning with the basics of kitchen safety, students participate in hands-on culinary classes in ICC’s professional kitchens, the same facilities used by our career culinary students.
Introduction into the Culinary World for Teens
Upon completing ICC’s summer camp courses, these young graduates will leave with a sense of confidence, their own chef’s uniform, a set of knives and training to foster a foundation and passion for cooking.
