Cooking Camp for Teens

If you've ever dreamed of working in a professional kitchen, but been told to “wait until you're older,” your time has finally arrived. We designed this class specifically for young adults, ages 13 and above, who have a desire to learn the fundamentals of fine cooking.

Build the essential skills a budding chef needs.

Spend eight sessions in an intensive, yet teen-appropriate atmosphere learning the art of cooking from a professional chef—one of the same instructors who trains adults at International Culinary Center.

This course requires no experience. Even if you've never boiled an egg, this technique-based class will teach you the skills to create impressive meals at home and give you the foundation for a lifetime of learning and experimentation in the kitchen. You'll find each session to be a true hands-on experience, beginning on your first day of class when you learn to chop vegetables like a pro.

Working in our modern kitchens, each student receives a healthy helping of personalized attention and guidance, thanks to our smaller class size. After the 40-hour course is completed, graduates leave our kitchens with a new sense of “culinary confidence,” and the ability to make gnocchi by hand, create paper-thin crêpes, poach lobster, and so much more!

Each participant will receive a uniform, a set of knives, a tool kit, and knowledge that can lead them on a path to an exciting future in fine cooking.

Note: Students must be at least 13 years of age and have parental approval. A personal interview is also required.
