Classic Culinary Arts Wine Intensive

Develop your palate for wine and cuisine simultaneously in the new Classic Culinary Arts Wine Intensive program. This program will give a select students the opportunity to dramatically enhance their culinary education by gaining immersive knowledge about the intimate harmony between wine and the culinary arts.

Covering the same culinary curriculum as the Classic Culinary Arts career program, this exclusive course of study also offers students a robust wine education taught by our award-winning sommeliers and culminates in the unique opportunity to create and execute an exclusive food and wine pairing dinner for the clientele of L’Ecole—the Michelin-recommended restaurant of The International Culinary Center.

Students in this exclusive class will receive:

A full scholarship to the Fundamentals of Wine program (a $975 value). This intensive and all-encompassing 16-hour course will teach you to taste and pair wines intelligently, as well provide practical workplace information including:

  • how to suggest and properly serve wines
  • pricing strategies and storage techniques
  • basic training that will allow you to instruct your future staff in the service of wine
Additional special sessions led by International Culinary Center director of Wine Education and Master Sommelier Scott Carney, where dishes prepared in class and complementary wines will be paired, explored, and discussed.

The opportunity to team with a group of your classmates and use your newfound wine and food knowledge to conceive, plan, and execute an exclusive wine pairing dinner.
