This intense, inspiring cooking camp for teen students 13-18 years old builds the essential skills needed to conquer the kitchen—even if you’ve never boiled an egg!

This cooking class is taught by the same instructors who train our adult career students and requires no prior experience. Each day is a true hands-on experience, beginning with your first lesson when you learn to chop vegetables like a professional.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Learn to perfect the art of cooking from an experienced chef—one of the same instructors who trains adults in our professional kitchens at our Soho, NYC, campus. Each student receives personal attention and guidance from our knowledgeable chef-instructors during the camp’s hands-on cooking classes. Graduates of ICC’s teen cooking camp leave with a new sense of culinary confidence and the ability to make dishes like gnocchi, paper-thin crêpes, poached lobster and more!

If your teenage dream is to work in a professional pastry kitchen, or you just love the idea of developing your sweet skills, your time has arrived. This intense, inspiring class for 13- to 18-year-olds teaches pastry arts techniques needed to conquer the kitchen. This class requires no prior pastry experience.

Each student receives personal attention and guidance, from the same instructors who train our adult pastry arts career students. Every day is a true hands-on experience, beginning with your first lesson where you start baking right away.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Spend five weekday sessions exploring various pastry arts techniques. After the week-long course is completed, ICC teen graduates are equipped with the ability to create tarts with delicious crusts and fillings, batch freeze custards for ice cream, decorate with piping and more.

Culinary-Technology-for-Teens-1

If you have taken our Culinary Camp for Teens course and want to bring your cooking skills to the cutting edge of technology, the time has arrived. Culinary Technology Camp for Teens, ages 13-18 years old, teaches modernist variations of the essential skills built in Culinary Camp. Learn to use the innovative techniques your favorite chefs are using including hydrocolloids, spherification, sous vide cooking, liquid nitrogen and more!

Taught by the same instructors who train our professional students, each day is a true hands-on experience where students will be taught to use iSi canisters, immersion circulators, vacuum chambers and more. By the end of the course, students will be comfortable in demonstrating the use of alternative ingredients, plating techniques, methods of sous vide and low temperature cooking. As a gift, each student will take home their own Molecular Gastronomy kit to practice their new skills!

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Enhance the culinary skills learned in Culinary Camp for Teens with the latest in food technology. Each student receives personal attention and guidance from our experienced chef-instructors.
