Overview

One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,500 to a student interested in the Intensive Sommelier program (California campus) beginning on October 5, 2016.

Eligible applicants must meet all of the admission requirements for the IST program. The scholarship is earned at the mid-point and the completion of the program.

Founded in 1982, Wine & Spirits Magazine is published eight times a year and read by over 200,000 members of America’s wine community for information on established and up-and-coming regions and producers, the art and science of viticulture, industry happenings and food and wine pairing. Leading the wine magazine category, Wine & Spirits has earned the most James Beard awards for excellence in wine writing.

To apply for the Wine & Spirits Scholarship applicants must provide:

  • A completed scholarship application online
  • Applicants must describe in writing OR express in a video their passion for wine and express the moment they fell in love with wine (writing: 500 words or less; video: 5 minutes or less)
